FOSSBRIDGE has been promoting Southeast Asian software industries and cooperation with Europe through innovative collaboration on Open Source technologies and business development since 2006. We bring together IT companies from around the world for matchmaking and twinning.

Over 100 IT companies and organizations are registered in our network. FOSSBRIDGE supports technology companies to develop and expand their business activities based on Open Technologies.

FOSSBRIDGE is run by MBM International Ltd. with front offices in Berlin, Germany and Singapore and Saigon, Vietnam. It was founded with the support of the ASIA-Invest Program of EU and set up in cooperation with InWEnt/GIZ – Capacity Building International of Germany, Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (INRIA) of France and the Institute of Information Technology (IOIT) of Vietnam. Financial support was granted by the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

FOSSBRIDGE supports joint projects of companies in Europe and Asia to sustain and increase their competitiveness by matching companies for joint projects and training software developers and experts. Studies have shown that open technologies are a powerful instrument for job-creation. FOSSBRIDGE aims to draw on this potential to boost economic cooperation and sustainable development.

INRIA is the French national institute of research in information technologies whose missions are to undertake basic and applied research, to design experimental systems, to ensure technology and knowledge transfer and to organize international scientific exchanges”. INRIA is a strategic partner of the OW2 Consortium, an independent and international industry consortium working on more than 100 Open Source Software (OSS) projects in the domain of software infrastructures (middleware). OW2 was founded in January 2007 as a result of the merger of the ObjectWeb community and its Chinese counterpart OrientWare. IOIT – Institute of Information Technology – the leading IT research and implementation institute in Vietnam, belongs to the Vietnamese Academy of Sciences & Technology (VAST). With more than 30 years of experience working in the IT field, its 200 employees, amongst 60 of which hold a PhD and more than 10 of which are professors, IOIT has been leading in many research IT fields in Vietnam such as internet and networking, patent recognition, automation, etc. IOIT has conducted many significant projects related to FOSS, including the co-organization of an international FOSS conference for e-Governance – COSGov Vietnam in 2005. – http://www.ioit.ac.vn


Cenatic stands for Centro Nacional de Referencia de Aplicación de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación or National Reference Centre for the Application of Open Source Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). It is a public foundation, promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce and its launch on November 20th 2006 coincided with the creation of its board. It is the only national strategic project to promote the understanding and use of open source software ,and is open to the participation of public administrations, companies, universities, R&D groups and users and developers of this kind of technology. http://www.cenatic.net
